Wala na si Dek. Kanina ko lang nalaman, via Facebook; namatay yata siya kanina, 12 Peberero 2016. Nakalulungkot. Ipinaalam ko sa mga kasama't kaibigan namin na wala na siya; ang tawag namin kay Manny noon, sa UP Diliman, noong 1980s, ay Dek dahil mahigit isang Dekada na siyang kumikilos noon. Tibak na siya bago pa mag-Martial Law. Artist din si Dek, at patuloy siya sa pang-drawing at pagpinta habang organisador at leader siya sa kilusan noon. Magka-collective kami ni Dek noon. Malimit kaming magpulong at matulog sa bahay nila sa Tandang Sora.

The Great LEAN Run, September 19, 2015

The Great LEAN Run (TGLR) is a joint undertaking by the UP Sandigan para sa Mag-aaral at Sambayanan Alumni (UP SAMASA) and the UP Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs (UP OVCSA). It is a celebration of the life of Leandro L. Alejandro, one-time UP Student Council Chairman, and the most popular youth leader during the turbulent Martial Law years. He continues to be a prime example of how the youth can effect change through critical thought and social involvement. The 3.7 kilometer run is a special distance experiential run that includes a specially-designed obstacle course, race and chase production, among other surprise features.

Sr. Mariani Dimaranan Human Rights Defenders Awards 2015

Task Force Detainees of the Philippines (TFDP) has announced the Sr. Mariani Dimaranan Human RIghts Defenders Awards will be held on 24 February, 4:00 PM, Aldaba Recital Hall, UP Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines. TFDP said on its Facebook anncouncement: "Through the years, TFDP has worked with numerous persons and institutions that helped the organization in advancing the cause of human rights in the Philippines. As TFDP celebrates its 40th year, it wants to pay tribute to some of the individuals and organizations who have been part of TFDP in its beginning years.

Project Nameless Founding General Assembly, 28 June 2014

Project Nameless will have our Founding General Assembly on 28 June 2014. The Founding General Assembly will formally establish Project Nameless as an organisation registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). We have worked hard since the Project started in November 2011, and have had accomplishments as well as challenges these past years. The Founding General Assembly signals our determination to continue with our work, to honor the heroes and martyrs of the Filipino people's struggle for freedom and democracy, through the stories of their families, friends, comrades, and communities. We have much more to do.

Human Rights Victims' Claims Board Regional Visits Schedule

The Human Rights Victims' Claims Board commenced accepting and processing claims on 12 May 2014. Applications will be received until 10 November 2014. Staff of the board will be in different cities of the country to receive claim applications. Schedules: Application forms and Frequently Asked Questions maybe secured from all regional offices of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR). Information may also be downloaded from the Claims Board website: www.hrvclaimsboard.gov.ph.

Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act No. 10368 released

The Human Rights Violations Victims Board approved the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act No. 10368 on 24 April 2014. RA10368, also known as the Martial Law Victims Reparation and Recognition Act of 2013, "acknowledge(s) its moral and legal obligation to recognize and/or provide reparation to said victims and/or their families for the deaths, injuries, sufferings, deprivations and damages they suffered under the Marcos regime." Claims can be submitted May 12 to November 10, 2014. A copy of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) is here.

Claims board gives Martial law victims 6 months to file compensation claims

SAN FERNANDO CITY, Apr 15 (PIA) – Victims of human rights violations under the Marcos regime were given six months or until November 12 to file their compensation claims from the P10 billion-Marcos ill-gotten wealth that the government set aside for victims. The Human Rights Victims' Claims Board will start processing petitions for compensation claims of victims of human rights violation during the Marcos regime on May 12.

Board approves 10 more Heroes, January 2014

The Board of Project Nameless approved the nominations of 10 more heroes on 4 January 2014. The 10 (along with Rosalie Mendoza and Joey Gloria, who are already on the Nameless site) were also honored at the annual Ganito Tayo Noon Reunion at Antipolo. The heroes are: Ed Araullo, Peewee Aragon, Romeo Candazo, Behn Cervantes, Jeland De Guzman, Fr.
